Press F9 from any window. Rebind finds your meeting window, presses that app's own mute shortcut, and switches back to what you were doing.
| App | Window it looks for | Shortcut sent (Windows / macOS) |
|---|---|---|
| Zoom | "Zoom Meeting" | Alt+A / Cmd+Shift+A |
| Microsoft Teams | "Microsoft Teams" | Ctrl+Shift+M / Cmd+Shift+M |
| Google Meet | "Meet -" | Ctrl+D / Cmd+D |
Needs Rebind 3.5.0 or newer on Windows or macOS. No extra permissions.
Settings
- Mute key: default F9. Key changes apply while the package runs on Rebind 3.9 or newer; on older versions, restart the package.
Limits
- Google Meet is found only when it is the open tab of its browser window, since a browser window's title is its open tab.
- On macOS, Rebind needs Screen Recording permission to read window titles, and switching to a call may bring that app's front window forward rather than the call window.
- The first matching app wins: with Zoom and Teams both open, Zoom is muted.
- When no call is found, a notice appears in Rebind. To see notices on the desktop, turn on Desktop notifications in Rebind's settings.
- Live use remains unverified on Windows and macOS.
Stop
Stop the package from the editor toolbar, or press Left Ctrl + Left Alt + K to stop all scripts.
