# OSRS Tabs on Mouse Buttons

Your mouse side buttons each send one interface key, so switching tabs never takes your hand off the mouse. By default the first side button sends **F1** and the second sends **Escape** (close interface).

It runs only while RuneLite or the official Old School RuneScape client is focused. Everywhere else the side buttons work as usual.

Needs Rebind 3.5.0 or newer on Windows or macOS. No extra permissions.

## Settings

- **First side button** and **Second side button:** the buttons to remap. Defaults **Mouse 4** and **Mouse 5**.
- **First side button sends** and **Second side button sends:** the key each one presses. Defaults **F1** and **Escape**. Set them to your interface keys in the game's key bindings.

Key changes apply while the package runs on Rebind 3.9 or newer. On older versions, restart the package after changing a key.

## Before you use it

Jagex allows one action per input. This is a strict 1:1 remap: one press in, one key out, held exactly as long as you hold the button. Do not use anything that plays the game for you.

## Limits

- The game window title must contain "RuneLite" or "Old School RuneScape".
- On macOS, Rebind needs **Screen Recording** permission to read window titles.
- Live use remains unverified on Windows and macOS.

## Stop

Stop the package from the editor toolbar, or press **Left Ctrl + Left Alt + K** to stop all scripts.
